Font Friday: Verna

Photobucket For this week's Font Friday,  I introduce to you the fun, modern font, Verna, by Fenotype. Verna is one of those fonts that you could mix endless combinations of swatches, ligatures and ornaments. So much fun to play with!

The best part is that it is a really affordable price and it's on sale! The normally $35 font is 20% off till June 8th, making it $28. So if you want it, that should be all the excuse you need! Don't you love font sales?!

Font Friday: Dearest Script

TGIFF! (Thank Goodness It's Font Friday!) Check out our new blog badge designed by Kerry on the left - it was my personal favorite! This week's pick steers away from the super modern style of Kewl Script to a classic old world feel of Dearest Script. Dearest Script was inspired by handwritten characters and comes in two formats, Script and Swash, and are designed to be used interchangeably so you have an endless number of combinations. And the best part? You can purchase each one for $19.95 or the set for $29.95. Now that is a deal!

Font Friday: Kewl Script

It's Font Friday again and this week I have a very cool font for you. (Well hello bad font joke. How did you get in there?) This week’s pick, Kewl Script, is by Sudtipos, which is also known as the foundry that gets all of my money. It's fun and modern and it has a lot of different glyphs to play around with. A font lover's dream. Photobucket

And you wanna know something else? Right now you can get this font for 20% off! Fonts and sales... two of my favorite things. You can purchase it here.

Font Friday

Photobucket Since last week’s font was a little pricey, I thought I’d jump to the other end of the spectrum and feature a free font. F-R-E-E. There are so many free fonts available, and while not all of them are worth downloading, often there are some gems out there that can be yours with the click of a mouse. A font that caught my eye recently is called Banda, from the Type Depot. It is a 'semi-serif' (I don't know why, but I like that term) and comes in 7 weights plus italics. Only the regular is free, but it's great to try and see if you might make use of the others.Photobucket Download it for FREE here.

This week we are doing a little contest to create badges for our blogs... here are my two ideas: Photobucket

Font Friday!

Happy Friday! I have a fun new thing happening today. After meeting Kerry Doyle, of Paper Dahlia through Minted, I became a fan of her style blog, Super Swoon. Kerry and a group of font-loving gals (Jenna from Little Bit Heart, Lauren from Lauren Elise Crafted, Steph from Bubblerock, Jenny from Hank + Hunt, Kerry from Super Swoon, Jen from Blush Printables and Alexandra from The Aerialist Press) do a weekly post called Font Friday. I enjoyed it so much that I thought I’d join in on the fun. So from now on, fonts will be getting their own weekly post! I know. Try to contain your excitement. Photobucket

For my first Font Friday, I thought I’d go with a font I love and have been eyeing for awhile now... Candy Script. With a pretty hefty price tag of $99, this typeface is on the pricier side (and yes, they do get more expensive!) and I haven't shelled out the cash for it...yet! After doing this post, I really want to get my hands on this one.

Candy Script is designed by Alejandro Paul, who also designed so many of my favorite fonts, Burgues Script, Business Penmanship, Adios, Feel, and the list goes on and on. He is amazing. Clearly.

Here's a little blurb about Candy Script from Veer:

Inspired by Argentina and its culture, Alejandro Paul’s Candy Script captures the country’s spirit. It comes from the tradition of window sign painting, but its thick hand-brushed characters - with alternates for almost every upper and lowercase letter - have a personality all their own. Tons of OpenType alternates included, over 600 characters in all.

You can purchase this font here and if you are interested in reading a little bit more about Alejandro Paul, check out this interview with myfonts.com. Happy Font Friday!
