Featured: Southern Weddings Again!

Catie Ronquillo and I originally worked together on a photoshoot that she put together with Elizabeth of After Yes Weddings. We used mason jars and we couldn't help but submit these photos into the Southern Weddings Mason Jar Challenge along with our Sweet Tea Kits.  It was so fun to see that they were featured this week on their blog as well.

The theme of the photo shoot was 'back to school', but I think the concept can work with a lot of themes, by using straws instead of pencils or other types of candy. Yum!

Featured: Southern Weddings Blog

I teamed up with the sweet and talented, Catie Ronquillo, photographer extraordinaire, to participate in the Southern Weddings Ultimate Challenge: Mason Jars. We could do anything wedding related that involved a mason jar, but the main requirement was that it needed to be southern. Naturally. When I think of southern, I think of sweet tea, so Catie had the great idea to do a 'Sweet Tea Kit' to give as favors. We filled each jar with sugar cubes, tea bags and a lemon and I designed little tags that we tied with yellow and white twine. I loved how they turned out, and today we got the nice surprise of being featured as finalists on the Southern Weddings blog!

2011 HOLIDAY COLLECTION

The Holiday Collection is here! I've been working really hard to launch my holiday collection in coordination with my new stationery shop (oh by the way, I have a stationery shop now!), and while it's mostly holiday cards right now, I plan to spend the next couple of weeks adding a few more items that will be great gift ideas for the holidays. Think stamps, wine tags and notecards... I hope you enjoy!

I love love love this font from Giuseppe Salerno, for Resistanza. Bodoni at Home is a handwritten version of Bodoni, and is perfect for giving your work a handwritten feel. It's only $9 on myfonts.com, BUT it's a free download on the Resistanza site for a limited time. Get it here!

Minted Holiday Minibook and New Years Cards

There's lots of excitement around Minted these days. With the launch of holiday cards and the announcement of all the awards, it's quite fun hearing new announcements every day. Yesterday, they announced the results of the Quickfire Holiday Minibook and New Years Card Challenge, and my design Twenty Twelve placed in the top 20! I love the different layouts of flat cards and minibook designs competing against each other. There was a great mix of both styles in the top 20. Check out the winners here.

Also, today I found out that my design, The Year, was awarded 'Best Full Bleed Photo Design', in the Special Awards category. I am so excited! Check out the rest of the special award winners here.
