NEWS

Photobucket I'm so excited to announce that I am now officially a full-time invitation studio! This is been a huge decision for me and is a plan that started back in February (what can I say, we are big planners). I got to a point when I just couldn't do both anymore, which sparked the conversation with my husband about what could be. Once I had convinced myself that I could do this, I've just been waiting for this day. The past two months I've spent working part-time to wrap things up and yesterday was finally my very. last. day.  I spent 5 years working with some really amazing people and it was sad to leave, but nothing has felt more right. Sure, I'm afraid of not having steady paycheck, of working from home and well, all the uncertainties that go along with running your own business, but the excitement of finally getting to do what I love all the time overshadows all of that. I feel determined, content, and frankly, kind of tired, because these past 2 years have been BUSY.

I have so many goals for the next few months, which brings on a whole new level of emotions, but for now, all I know is, today, I can't stop smiling.

Lately

Photobucket I was flipping through my iPhone photos and thought it was a great summary of my life right now. Our family was blessed with an adorable little man in September and I just can't get enough of him and his big sister. I love them so much! My niece turned two and my nephew was baptized this weekend, so it was a family-filled few days and I just love how our lives revolve around those two. I really don't know what we did before them, but I guarantee you it was not nearly as much fun. And never fear, the weekend was not without some paper and a little Marley cuteness. Carter was there, but somehow didn't make it into my iPhone. Next time!

My life has been unbelievably busy lately, and while I can get a little overwhelmed sometimes (or a lot of times), I'm just so grateful for little breaks with family and lots of baby snuggles.

Next week, posts will be picking up and I'm going to kick November off with a little giveaway! Stay tuned! Hint: It's a little holiday collaboration with calligrapher, Abigail Luby, of Chips and Salsa Design Studio.

Font Friday: Braga

Photobucket Font envy! Check out Braga, by DSType. This font is so ornate and gorgeous and comes with 24 (!!!) layers to create some extremely unique combinations. Those 24 fonts don't come cheap. At $20 a piece, it's a tad too expensive to buy them all, but maybe you can get creative with just a couple.

You can purchase all or some of Braga here.
